Michael Larssen is a seasoned executive and strategist in the mortgage industry with over 36 years of experience. He currently serves as the SVP, National Business Development for HOMESTAR, and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. Throughout his career, Michael has worn many hats, including Processor, Underwriter, Mortgage Loan Originator, Branch Manager, Chief Credit Officer, COO, CEO, CIO, and Chairman, to name a few.
Michael attended St. John's University, where he earned his BA degree. He is a recipient of the GEM Award from Lenders One and holds a CMB designation. In addition to his professional achievements, Michael is also an Advisory Board Member for Camp Kesem, a camp for kids whose parents have been lost to or currently battling cancer. HOMESTAR is proud to have onboarded Michael Larssen in 2022.

He has spent the majority of his career helping over 500 lenders strategically grow their businesses and reduce costs via his senior management/ownership roles at Lenders One and The Mortgage Collaborative.
In his free time, Michael enjoys boating, fishing, weightlifting, and spending time with his wife and five boys. Michael's favorite quote is, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has" by Margaret Mead. He lives by this quote and believes that teamwork and collaboration can make a real difference in the world.
